As Head of Global Health - Digital, you implement the new digital strategy of our Global Health Institute. Our health solutions for most vulnerable populations focus on infectious tropical diseases (malaria and schistosomiasis as focus areas) which provide societal and business impact. Digital applications are of increasing importance to reach those populations and to implement innovative technical solutions. To ensure strategic and operational alignment, you will liaise with internal digital functions as well as with our external partners and stakeholders. Monitoring and evaluating current development in field of digital applications (including AI & IoT) associated to Global Health issues and related to our Global Health (GH) strategy. Developing a digitalization strategy based on GH overarching goals leading to sustainable models. Conducting implementation of digitalization of existing and upcoming GH programs (data capture, analysis, IoT) through partnerships with selected key stakeholders. Collaborate with relevant functions on issues of Digital Ethics, Digital policies, and in a broader context, Ethical Advisory Board. Ensure strategic and operational alignment with relevant Digital functions. Manage projects and external international collaborations to deliver products. Develop expert network to strengthen pipeline generation & commercialization whenever possible. Responsible for supporting fund raising & scientific publications. Responsible to present to management for decision, budget allocation / approvals, and strategic alignment. Participates to international conferences and meetings to maintain state-of-the-art knowledge and understanding Global Health issues. Pro-actively propose and manage external collaborations with NGOs, international academic centers in developed and developing countries. Participates to educational programs to ensure research capacity building in developing countries associated to digital approaches.
Who you are
PhD/master in Life Science (chemistry, biology, medicine) or relevant scientific fields
Digital expert in the field of Global Health with at least 5 years of experience
Project management experience including budget management
Pro-active in building and maintaining networks of key stakeholders
Fluent in English
